Put the pages of a PDF in any order: drag the thumbnails, type the order you want such as 3, 1, 2, 4-10, or use the arrow keys. One click reverses the whole file, and another puts a double-sided scan back in sequence when the fronts and backs were scanned as two separate stacks. Bookmarks move with their pages and links inside the document keep working. No sign-in, no page limit, and nothing is uploaded.

Four ways to put pages in order

  • Drag the thumbnails. Pick up a page and drop it where it belongs; the others move aside. The list scrolls by itself when you drag near its top or bottom edge, so moving the last page of a long file to the front does not need a tiny grid.
  • Type the order. Enter something like 3, 1, 2, 4-10 in the Page order box. Ranges work backwards too, so 10-1 reverses ten pages. Pages you do not mention keep their current order at the end, so fixing the first few pages of a 200-page file takes one short line.
  • Use the keyboard. Tab to a page and press the arrow keys to move it one place, or Home and End to send it to the start or end.
  • On a phone or tablet, press and hold a page for a moment, then drag. A quick swipe still scrolls the list, so you do not move pages by accident.

Each card shows the page’s original number and a badge with its new position, and moved pages are highlighted, so it is always clear what changed. The Page order box shows the current order at all times — after dragging page 1 behind page 4 it reads 2-4, 1, 5-12 — and Original order undoes everything.

Fix a double-sided scan in one click

A scanner without duplex scans one side of the stack at a time. You get all the fronts, then all the backs — and because you turned the stack over, the backs usually come out last page first. A 12-page letter arrives as pages 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.

Merge front and back scans takes the first half of the file as the fronts and the second half as the backs, and interleaves them: front 1, back 1, front 2, back 2. The option “Backs were scanned last page first” is ticked by default because that is what turning the stack over produces; untick it if you fed the backs in the same order as the fronts. With an odd number of pages the last front simply has no back. Check the thumbnails afterwards: if the pages still look wrong, toggle the option and click again.

Reverse a whole PDF

Reverse order turns the file back to front: the last page becomes the first. It fixes a stack that went through the scanner the wrong way round, or a document that was printed and scanned in reverse.

Reordering does not redraw anything. The original pages are copied into a new file in the new order, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality, and the file stays the same size — in our test a 962,885-byte PDF with a large photo came back at 962,884 bytes after reversing it. Bookmarks keep pointing at the same pages wherever those pages end up, nested bookmarks stay nested, and links inside the document, such as a table of contents, still land on the right page. We check both by opening the saved file with a separate PDF reader and following every bookmark and link.

No upload, no page limit

The PDF is rearranged inside your browser tab and never sent anywhere. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on pages or files.
